“ The atmosphere was spot on and very cool (see pics), the staff was friendly and very nice, the food, the food was a solid 8. I’ll give Terri Black’s a 10 if that helps so you understand how high an 8 for me. The brisket was tender and juicy but I couldn’t get that smoke taste I was looking for but still very, very good. The Jap sausage was very good, better than very good and the portions were not lacking whatsoever. The sides are where these peeps hit a home run though... between the three of us, we each got direct sides and everyone shared the love!!! The sides were a solid 9 easily!!! The entire experience was nothing less than exactly what I was hoping for our Mother’s Day lunch/dinner. That you so much to the staff at Queen’s for being away from friends and family today so we could share with ours on such a special day!!! Great frikin job, Queen’s!!!!!! ”
“ We passed this hidden hole in the wall completely by accident after taking the “scenic route” to the water park. The smell of BBQ as we drove by was legit and we knew where we would be having dinner! One word, WOW! As a self-proclaimed BBQ snob I have to say, these guys nail it! We ordered the fried pickles, Texas Drip and Chopped Brisket baked potato. The fried pickles were the best we have ever had. The Texas Drip... DAMN! And the baked potato did not disappoint! After giving some much-deserved complements to the manager, they offered a sample of their smoked turkey. Ok, I do not even like turkey and let me tell you, I will order the Turkey Cliffhanger next time! Price reflects the quality and portions, staff was nice, atmosphere was quaint. Queens BBQ will now be a required destination every time we hit the island! Thank ya’ll for the amazing dinner and great conversation. We will see ya’ll next time. ”
“ I had to stop and try some authentic BBQ when in Texas, so Queen's Bar-B-Que was my choice after doing a bit of research and getting some recommendations. I arrived not long before they closed, but was treated to some amazing cue! I settled on their Brisket plate, with their classic cole slaw and ham hock collard greens as my sides. The brisket had an amazing flavour, was juicy and tender. I enjoyed it without their sauce, but did try their sauce which was delightful as well, but the brisket didn't need it at all. The classic coleslaw was creamy and delicious. I personally wasn't a huge fan of the ham hock collard greens though as I found that there was just too much liquid with them as well as the ham hock being a little chewier than expected. There was so much brisket that I ended up taking some back to the hotel with me. If I'm ever back in Galveston, I'll definitely be making a point of stopping at Queen's Bar-B-Que again! ”
“ Since I moved away from Galveston, I hadn’t made my way back to Queen’s BBQ in far too long—but I finally fixed that this weekend. And wow, it’s just as good as I remembered! The moment I mentioned I was going to Queen’s, my phone lit up with family members placing urgent turkey cliffhanger sandwich orders. It’s basically a family tradition at this point. And honestly, one bite and you’ll get why—it’s smoky, juicy perfection. But if turkey’s not your thing, no worries. The menu is stacked with all kinds of BBQ goodness to make any carnivore smile. The vibe inside? Total eclectic charm. It’s got that fun, slightly funky decor that makes you feel like you’re walking into a local secret—only it’s not that secret. While I was there, a steady stream of locals came in for dine-in and takeout, always a great sign you’re in the right spot. You can kick back and eat there or grab your feast to go (if you can wait that long). Either way, do yourself a favor: next time you’re in Galveston, make a stop at Queen’s BBQ. Your tastebuds will thank you! ”
“ Found this place completely by chance because of a missed turn. Couldn't be more pleased we did. Large selection of genuine Texas barbecue fare. Brisket was moist, tender and the serving sizes are generous. Fast service and a wonderful atmosphere. Can't wait to return. ”
“ Was greeted by Bryanna at the counter..She was so friendly and helped me choose my plate as it was my first visit..I was visiting from out of town and wanted to take back a good meal to my room. The brisket and sausage plate was amazing..Awesome flavor and a huge portion for it's price. I will most definitely return if and when I'm back in town. ”
“ I really enjoyed their brisket, dirty rice and greens. Everything was flavorful, especially the brisket and collard greens. The brisket was tender and smoked to a great time! I would come back. No pics because I jumped right in and didn’t lift up, lol ”
“ We got the 3 meat plate with 2 sides to share. Brisket and smoked sausage were fantastic. The 2 sides (Mac n cheese and baked beans) were also super good. Would highly recommend! ”
